Are Your Locks RCM Certified?

What is RCM Certification?

The Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) is a certification mark required for electrical products sold in Australia and New Zealand. It indicates compliance with relevant safety and performance standards.

Are Smart Door Locks Australia products RCM certified?

Only electrical products categorised as "In-Scope" require RCM certification. None of our products fall into this category, and thus, they are not required to have the RCM certificate.

What qualifies as an "In-Scope" product?

"In-Scope" products refer to specific electrical items that operate at particular voltage levels, typically those directly connected to mains power. These products pose higher risks and must meet stringent safety standards.

What are the voltages of your products?

Here are the voltages for all of our products:

  1. SDL-H1: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AA Batteries)

  2. SDL-H2: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AA Batteries)

  3. SDL-S1: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AA Batteries)

  4. SDL-SS1: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AAA Batteries)

  5. SDL-S2: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AA Batteries)

  6. SDL-T1: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AA Batteries)

  7. SDL-R1: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AA Batteries)

  8. SDL-PP1: 7.4 V (Rechargeable battery; Included)

  9. Loqee Smart Keybox: 6 V (4 x Alkaline AAA Batteries)

Why don’t your products require RCM certification?

Our products operate at low voltages, powered by batteries, and do not connect directly to mains power. Therefore, they do not fall into the category of "In-Scope" products requiring RCM certification.
