How to import data from another lock?
When you replace a lock or install an upgraded model, you can move selected access data from your old lock to the new one. The notes below outline how this process works and what you can expect to transfer.
Does the phone need to be in Bluetooth range?
Yes. Your phone must be within Bluetooth range of the lock you are importing data to. The transfer will not begin unless the phone can connect to the new lock.
What data is imported?
The following items will transfer to the new lock:
• eKeys
• All types of passcodes
• IC card data
Fingerprints will not transfer and must be set up again on the new lock.
Does the old lock need to be powered on?
No. The old lock does not need to be powered during the import. The data is retrieved from your account records rather than the physical device.
Will passage mode settings transfer?
No. Passage mode settings and other configuration options will not be imported. These must be set on the new lock after installation.
