The Fingerprint Recognition Only Seems to Work Occasionally

The fingerprint reader is usually very reliable, but there can be certain factors that may affect its performance.
One common issue is when there is dust, residue, or moisture on the sensor, it can impact the recognition. Additionally, if your finger is oily, unclean, or wet, this can also cause inconsistencies in the recognition process. In some cases, long fingernails can also get in the way of accurate readings.

To improve the performance of the fingerprint recognition feature, you can follow these steps:

1. Adjust finger placement: During fingerprint setup, try different positions and angles to enhance the sensor's accuracy.
2. Register additional or alternate fingers: If one finger isn't being consistently recognized, try another finger to see if it improves recognition.
3. Register the same finger multiple times: If your fingerprints prove difficult to read due to factors like work nature, age, or moisture, oil, or dirt, registering the same finger multiple times can help the device recognise it more easily under different conditions.

Furthermore, regularly cleaning the sensor with a dry cloth can help maintain its accuracy.
