If you want to stay updated on lock activity such as when someone unlocks your door, uses a passcode, or accesses the lock via Bluetooth, you can enable notifications in the TTLock app. Follow these steps to make sure you receive alerts properly.
Step 1: Allow Notifications on Your Phone
First, check that your phone allows the TTLock app to send notifications.
For iPhone:
-
Open Settings.
-
Tap Notifications.
-
Scroll down and select TTLock.
-
Turn on Allow Notifications.
-
Choose your preferred alert style (Lock Screen, Notification Centre, or Banners).
For Android:
-
Open Settings.
-
Tap Notifications or Apps & notifications.
-
Find and select TTLock.
-
Turn on Allow notifications.
Step 2: Enable Notifications in the TTLock App
Once phone permissions are set, make sure notifications are also turned on within the app.
-
Open the TTLock app.
-
Tap the menu icon (top left corner).
-
Select Settings.
-
Turn on Notification Push.
Step 3: Connect the Lock to the Internet
Notifications can only be sent when the lock is online.
To enable remote notifications:
-
Make sure your lock is paired with a TTLock Gateway or has built-in Wi-Fi.
-
Keep the gateway powered on and connected to the internet.
-
Ensure your TTLock app is logged in with the same account that owns the lock.
Step 4: Test the Notification
Try unlocking your door using a passcode or card.
If notifications are working, you should receive a message within a few seconds confirming the unlock event.
Step 5: Troubleshooting
If you still don’t receive notifications:
-
Confirm your phone has internet access.
-
Make sure you are logged into the correct TTLock account.
-
Check that your gateway or Wi-Fi connection is active.
-
Restart your phone and re-open the TTLock app.
-
Update the TTLock app to the latest version.
