If you have trouble configuring your Wi-Fi Gateway, first make sure you have followed the instructions on this article.
If you still have issues, check the following.
The distance and any obstructions between the Wi-Fi router and the Wi-Fi Gateway.
The practical rule is to aim for a strong signal within 10 to 15 metres with minimal walls in between. Beyond that, a mesh node or range extender is often needed. Walls, floors, metal framing, mirrors, and appliances reduce this range. Concrete and brick have a much bigger impact than plasterboard.
The distance and any obstructions between the Wi-Fi Gateway and the Smart Lock.
The standard range is 3 to 5 mitres. Brick, concrete, metal doors, and foil insulation can reduce the range to just a few metres. If the gateway is more than 5 metres away or behind multiple walls, expect intermittent connection issues. In those cases, moving the gateway closer to the door usually solves the problem.
Distance between you (the person who's configuring the gateway) and the Wi-Fi Gateway
Make sure you are within 3-7 meters of the Wi-Fi Gateway that is being configured.
Network band
Our Wi-Fi Gateway supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. You will run into issues if you try to connect to a 5G network. Your service provider will usually provide you with both 2.4GHz and 5G bands. The easiest way to identify them is by their name. The 5G network will usually have "5G" appended to the name of the Wi-Fi network. Example - MyHomeWi-Fi_5G. More information on this can be found here.
The Wi-Fi network your phone is connected to
Make sure your phone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network you're trying to connect the Wi-Fi Gateway to.
Location service settings on your phone
Check the Location Service settings on your phone and allow location access to the TTLock app while the app is in use.
Interference from the 5G network
Go to your modem settings (you might have to contact your internet service provider to get help with this) and turn off the 5G network temporarily and only keep the 2.4GHz network active. This step is usually not required and should only be tried if you have completed all other steps and are still unable to configure your Wi-Fi Gateway.

Additional notes
- When you power on the Wi-Fi Gateway, it will be in the pairing mode for the first 60 seconds. This is the time window to configure the Wi-Fi network settings using your TTLock.
- If your Wi-Fi Gateway is already configured, and you restart the Wi-Fi Gateway, it will take about 2-3 minutes to get back to the normal operational state. You'll notice it will be in the pairing mode for the first 60 seconds (as always) but after that, it will go back to the normal operation mode using the existing settings.
