Installation Tips

Installation Tips

Your lock will arrive with a clear Installation and User Guide to assist you or your installer during setup. A digital copy is available on our website on each product page under "Specifications > Additional Resources". Most product pages also include a step by step installation guide and a helpful video to walk you through the process.

Take a moment to look over these points before you begin. They will help you install your lock safely and protect the hardware during setup.

General Safety
• Take care when using tools or any heavy equipment during installation.
• Keep a firm hold of each part during fitting. A drop can damage the lock or cause injury.
• Keep the door open while you work. After the lock is fitted, test every function before you close the door.
• Hold each section of the lock securely. Do not leave parts hanging by the cable, as the cable may pull loose.
• Do not install the batteries until the lock is fully assembled.
• Use good quality brand new batteries. If your lock includes a rechargeable battery, charge it fully before use.
• Do not attempt repairs without authorisation from us.

Suitable Installation Conditions
• Avoid setting up the lock in wet, humid, or coastal environments unless advised by us.
• Do not mount the lock where it will face direct sunlight for long periods unless advised by us, as the touchpad may crack over time.
