Running into an ‘Operation Failed’ error in the TTLock app can be frustrating, especially when you’re trying to add or manage your smart lock. This issue isn’t just limited to the initial setup; it can pop up any time you interact with your lock through the app. Here’s how to get things working smoothly again.
Common Causes & Quick Fixes
Bluetooth Not Enabled
Make sure Bluetooth is switched ON. Double check in your phone’s settings. If it’s on, try toggling it off and back on again. Sometimes that’s all it needs.
Proximity Matters
Your phone should be within 2 metres of the lock. Being too far away can interrupt the connection.
App Permissions
Give the TTLock app permission to use Bluetooth. On your phone, go to Settings > Apps > TTLock and ensure Bluetooth is allowed.
Check the Lock’s Battery
A low battery in your smart lock can cause connection errors. Pop in fresh batteries if you suspect power is low.
