Why is my Smart Door Lock not powering up?
There could be many reasons why your smart door lock is powering up.
Following are some basic troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure you have installed good quality brand-new batteries.
- Check the battery polarity (i.e. + and - ) is correct.
- Check if the cable connecting the interior and the exterior panel is connected correctly. You can remove it and plug it back in.
- Inspect the cable and connectors for any broken or loose connections.
- Check for any rust or damages to the battery terminal
If none of these work, you can check the following advanced troubleshooting steps:
- Use the emergency USB power port to power up the lock - All of our smart door locks come with a USB power port on the exterior panel to power the lock in case of an emergency power failure. Refer to the User Manual and locate this USB port. Plug in a 5V power bank, a phone charger (not a phone itself) or a charged laptop. If this works, that means the exterior panel is working but the power is not coming from the interior panel.
